ClanBase has just opened a brand new Team Fortress 2 6v6 ladder using the Control Point format.

CB supervisor RayeS will be overseeing the tournament, and the maplist is cp_dustbowl, cp_gravelpit, cp_granary and cp_well. For further information, you can visit #clanbase.tf2 on irc.quakenet.org or go to CB’s TF2 forum.

Sign up for a ClanBase account to get started. Although the tournament will be run on European timezones, players from other countries are always welcome as long as they can play matches on time.

Additionally, some enterprising gamers from FearedGamers.net have created a Team Fortress 2 group page on the new GGL.com. You can sign up for a 16-team bracket tournament at that group page. If you’re not feeling that, you can also create your own group of your own at the new GGL.

Do you and a friend think you’ve got what it takes to be the best Halo 3 players around? Prove it on our new Halo 3 ladder with a maximum prize purse of $10,000, beginning Oct. 24 (Oct. 23rd, 9:01PM PST on the west coast)!

There is no registration deadline; you can register for the duration of the ladder, but if you want a part of the cash, you can’t let the other teams get a head start on you!

The GGL is kicking in $3,000 to start with for this ladder, but will add $1 per person after 3,000 to the prize purse, up to a maximum of $10,000.

What does it all mean? Tell your friends to join this competition if you want to make more money. The more that join, the more money there’s available to win.

Here’s the prize breakdown:

Prize purse: $3,000 minimum
1st: 40% ($4,000 max)
2nd: 20% ($2,000 max)
3rd: 10% ($1,000 max)
4th: 10% ($1,000 max)
5th-8th: 2.5% ($250 max)

Sweepstakes: Here’s the kicker – you don’t even have to be good to win money! GGL is also kicking in cash prizing to a randomly selected ladder participant – all you have to do is play 10 legit ladder matches and you could win 10% ($1,000 max) of the prize pool.

The competition format is a ladder that feeds into a bracket, seeded by ladder results. The number of teams that advance to the bracket is dependent on the number of total participants. We’re currently running a 1v1 practice ladder that you can use to shake the rust off. To join, visit GGL’s Halo 3 1v1 practice ladder page and hit “JOIN LADDER.”

The $10,000 2v2 Ladder begins Oct. 24th and runs until Dec. 2. The brackets start Dec. 5. Full rules are available under the “Rules” tab on the Halo 3 2v2 Celebration Ladder landing page.

Once you’ve registered as a GGL member and want to join the 2v2 ladder, visit GGL’s $10,000* Halo 3 group click “Halo 3 - Halo 3 $10k 2v2 Launch Celebration Ladder,” and hit “JOIN LADDER.” We’ll see you Oct. 23.

In addition to the 2v2 Ladder Competition, GGL is holding two $1,000 contests for The Best Halo 3 Group Page and The Best Halo 3 Group Competition Admin.

With three ways to get involved in the Halo 3 launch celebration, what are you waiting for? Register today and join the GGL’s $10,000* Halo 3 2v2 Celebration Ladder!
