Today it was announced that the Xbox Live Arcade title Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball has been delayed. Now given the vague release date of later this Spring, gamers will find some relief in knowing that their patience will be rewarded with extra content. The extra content will include new rules and game modes. Specifically: “Blazing Lizard is adding more traditional rules dodgeball modes where teams stay only on their side and multiple dodgeballs are in play.”

Well, it’s only 336 shopping days until Christmas. And every year I get started too late on my Worst Games of the Year list. So this time, I’m not procrastinating – in fact I’m getting the earliest possible start.

Here, in no particular order other than alphabetical, are my Ten Worst Games for 2008. Please note that I haven’t played a single one, what with them not having been released and all. I know hardly anything about some of them. But they’re all real games slated for a 2008 release. And they SUCK. Continued…



Some of you may have heard of the freeware side scrolling platformer N. If not, N is a game where you, according to the N website, “play as a ninja trapped in a world of well-meaning, inadvertantly homicidal robots.” Intrigued? You can download the game for free here.

Done with that and left wanting more? Well in a little bit, you can get an upgraded version, named N+, on Xbox Live Arcade. The game has just been cleared by the Xbox Live approval system, and should be showing up on the Xbox Marketplace soon. There has been no mention of price, but what you would be paying for would be upgraded graphics and several multiplayer modes, including 4 player co-op. Keep your eyes on Xbox Marketplace.
