Today Sony announced the first batch of DLC for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds. Sony oped out from doing the logical thing and releasing a new course, instead they are offering two new female characters. Gloria returns to the franchise bringing her expert skill level, and newcomer Alex makes her debut at the intermediate level.

Both characters will cost you $.99 a piece, a small amount to pay for some golfing babes. The DLC will be available tomorrow on the PlayStation store.

Today both Lost Odyssey and Army of Two got some DLC.

For a mere 200 Microsoft Points ($2.50) you can get the “Triple Bonus Pack” for Lost Odyssey. The pack includes ‘Memory Lamp,’ which allows you to view past scenes, ‘Shattered Bond,’ an antique that will bring back memories of a forgotten dream, and a ring called ‘Killer Machine.’ As someone who never played Lost Odyssey, I am assuming that this makes sense to those who are familiar with the game.

For 600 Microsoft Points ($7.50) you can get the “SSC Challenge” pack for Army of Two. The pack includes four co-op maps which should help breath new life into the game.

A little while ago I posted a news item about Burnout Paradise getting a big update. Well, today Criterion Games decided they were going to recall the update. “Why?” you might ask. Well according to them, there is an issue in the patch that caused the game to have poor frame rates when driving at high speeds, which is always in Burnout. Criterion promises to reissue the patch next week with all the kinks worked out.

I have to give some respect to the Criterion guys. It takes a lot of balls to admit you screwed up; and because they admitted it, players wont be stuck waiting in the dark for a new patch.

Today, Epic released a Bonus Pack for Unreal Tournament 3. Arriving on PlayStation 3 and PC, the free map pack brings back two classics and one new creation. The classics are of “Morbias” and “Facing Worlds”, from the original Unreal Tournament. The new map, designed specifically for Capture the Flag, is “Searchlight.”

There has been no word about these maps coming to the Xbox 360 version. I suspect that it has something to do with Microsoft wanting to charge for them; however, that is just speculation.

To get these maps, PlayStation 3 users can pull it off the PlayStation Network. PC gamers can head over to the Unreal Tournament 3 site and download them there.
