Today Sony announced the first batch of DLC for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds. Sony oped out from doing the logical thing and releasing a new course, instead they are offering two new female characters. Gloria returns to the franchise bringing her expert skill level, and newcomer Alex makes her debut at the intermediate level.
Both characters will cost you $.99 a piece, a small amount to pay for some golfing babes. The DLC will be available tomorrow on the PlayStation store.

Today both Lost Odyssey and Army of Two got some DLC.
For a mere 200 Microsoft Points ($2.50) you can get the “Triple Bonus Pack” for Lost Odyssey. The pack includes ‘Memory Lamp,’ which allows you to view past scenes, ‘Shattered Bond,’ an antique that will bring back memories of a forgotten dream, and a ring called ‘Killer Machine.’ As someone who never played Lost Odyssey, I am assuming that this makes sense to those who are familiar with the game.
For 600 Microsoft Points ($7.50) you can get the “SSC Challenge” pack for Army of Two. The pack includes four co-op maps which should help breath new life into the game.

Today, Activision announced that Call of Duty 4’s Variety Map Pack has was downloaded one million times in nine days, setting a new record for Xbox Live Marketplace.
According to Activision, in those nine days, there were more than 30 million games sessions, totaling 32 million hours of gameplay.
What I take from this article is that, if you have a Xbox 360 and Xbox live, pick up Call of Duty 4. You are guaranteed a fantastic multiplayer experience with plenty of people to frag.

Matt Eskins contributed these news items.
One week has passed since we were given the power to remote start and create our own themes for the PlayStation 3. But another update is already out to fix a few minor problems with the 2.00 release.
The update contains resolution for the following items:
- System stability during use of some PlayStation 3 format software has been improved.
- System stability including the use of the internet browser and Information Board, along with other operations has been improved.
- Output of upscaled PlayStation 2 format software images has been improved, as long as your PS3 model supports PS2 software playback.
- Functionality of the Remote Start feature has altered to prevent a situation that would cause an unintentional remote start. This problem cropped up with particular routers being used.
Additionally, the PlayStation Store is now running a holiday sale. Calling All Cars, Everyday Shooter, flOw and PixelJunk Racers will all be available on the PSN for $4.99 until November 29th.
flOw will also have add-on pack available for $2.99. The pack contains a new campaign, a new playable creature and the ability to take pictures of them and send them to everyone on your buddy list. I’m eagerly awaiting the flood of flOw creature pics that I’ll be receiving, much like I’m waiting to be beaten over the head with a shovel.

The revamped controller will debut in November in Japan and in Spring 2008 in North America and Europe — the company has not released pricing details. Nine titles at TGS will include the new PS3 rumble functionality. Some of those will be: Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Echochrome.
