Today Sony launched their PlayStation 3 Greatest Hits collection. Going for a reduced price of $30, the collection consists of nine titles, including:
* Warhawk
* MotorStorm
* Resistance: Fall of Man
* Call of Duty 3
* Need for Speed Carbon
* The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
* Ninja Gaiden Sigma
* Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas
* Assassin’s Creed
If you ask me the real gems in the collection are Warhawk and Resistance: Fall of Man. If you do pick up Warhawk, make sure you check out the GGL’s Warhawk ladder. You might be able to make a few dollars while playing a fantastic game.

Today at Sony’s E3 press conference, they announced some pretty cool stuff. First off, they announced a $400 80GB PS3 will be released. The “Core Pack” will feature an 80GB PS3 with “the same functionality of the 40 GB… with twice the storage.” Unfortunately for me, I was an idiot and picked up a 40GB yesterday for $400. In case any of you care, my PSN name is Yuenanimous.
At the press conference, Sony also announced God of War III. Unfortunately that is about all that was said.
Sony also stated that they have partnered up with several movie studios to bring PS3 users video rentals. The best part is, the service will be available tonight. It will cost $15 to purchase a movie, $6 to rent an HD one, and $4 to rent a standard movie. The rented movies can be transferred to a PSP with a USB cable.
Lastly, Sony announced their Greatest Hits line for the PS3. The games included are: Resistance: Fall of Man, Motorstorm, Warhawk, Call of Duty 3, Fight Night and Need For Speed: Carbon. These will only cost you $30. Not a bad deal. I intend on picking up Warhawk as soon as the prices drop. Too bad there was no mention as to when that is happening.
