Splash Damage finally got around to releasing a public demo of the hotly anticipated Enemy Territory: Quake Wars today. Those of you who have been waiting for two or three years can now safely rejoice.

The demo features the map “Valley,” set in Yosemite, California. Global Defense Forces are set on offense, while the Strogg attempt to contaminate a water treatment facility.
Badman from Splash Damage updated the ET:QW community site with some new details about the demo, which will be released Sept. 10.
The Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars PC Demo comes with the final version of Valley, one of the larger battlegrounds in the game. Set in Yosemite, California, Valley has the Global Defense Force on the attack, as they attempt to foil a Strogg contamination plot centering on a water treatment facility. Valley features a great blend of close quarters infantry action, vehicle battles and aircraft dogfights, and the varied terrain combining mountains, waterways, tunnels and industrial structures allows for many different playing styles. To top it all off, there’s a multitude of optional side missions and plenty of opportunities to try out the various defense turrets, artillery and radar deployables - Valley is a prime example of the frantic and diverse action you’ll find in Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars.

Splash Damage today announced that Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has gone gold, and is in the process of getting itself to store shelves on Oct. 2 (Sept 28 for you lucky Australians).
ET:QW hits for $49.99 and follows the recent tradition of releasing a limited edition, which should retail for $59.99. It’s also in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We’ll see you on release day for some happy fragging action!
