Kotaku Australia (this exists?) reports that EA’s Australian branch informed them that the upcoming, cartoon-styled shooter, Battlefield Heroes will be exclusive to the US and Europe.
Considering the game is downloadable, so far it’s unclear how EA will control this.
But they’ll certainly find a way. While EA was unable to explain the reasons behind such a decision, the common guess is that it wants to try the free-to-play system in a more closed environment and see the reaction of the public before releasing it worldwide.
Alternatively, we could simply say that Australia is being spared from having a possibly bad game, but less choice is never better…right?
