Many major titles were released this week. Seven new titles ranked in this week’s top 10 ranking, and Pokemon Ranger: Battonage won this week’s #1 title.
The Nintendo DS’s newest Touch! Generation series title DS Bimoji Training earned #1 for this week’s game sales ranking.
Yakuza 3 (Ryuu gaGotoku Kenzan!) has earned the #1 position of this week’s game sales ranking. Yakuza 3 takes place in Edo era right after the battle of Sekigahara in 1605. The main character that player can control is Musashi Miyamoto, a legendary samurai.
For those people who have read previous weekly game sales rankings, you can see that there is one factor that greatly affects the sales ranking. That’s the characters in the game. Although those titles do not last long on the chart, it is still a reason that many Japanese people (mostly otaku people) buy games.
Seikaijyu no Meikyu (aka Etrian Odyssey) for Nintendo DS, as many people in Japan expected, has earned #1 position of this week’s Famitsu game sales ranking.
The Wii still advances unresisted this week,
Wii Fit won the weekly sales battle again for the past week. The Wii Fit effect now influences sales of the Wii and possibly causes a pinball sales effect for other titles.
