Nintendo pinches pennies with new Points cards
Today it was revealed that the new Nintendo Points cards will be console specific. What that means is, that if you pick up a Nintendo Points card, you have to activate it for the Wii or the DS. Once active, those points can only be used for that console. This means that if you wanted to buy a Wii game and a DS game from the Nintendo store, you would have to buy two Nintendo Points cards.
This is pretty shady if you ask me. You would think that after all the millions of Wii’s sold, Nintendo wouldn’t be so affected by greed. I guess the only way for gamers to get their voices heard is to not buy Nintendo Points cards.
