If you guys have been following any videogame blogs, you have undoubtedly seen rumors that the Xbox 360 is dropping $50 of its price tag. Well, if you were to head over to Target.com, you will see that the Xbox 360 Pro model is only $299.99. Did Target jump the gun? Who cares? If the site says $299.99 go pick one up at the store. If they try and jack the price up, just point to the site and tell them “no way!”

Today, in celebrations of its 10th anniversary, Konami launched a Dance Dance Revolution community site. DDROnlineCommunity.com is a place for users to share videos, make profiles, and write blogs about all things DDR. The site also supports stat tracking for DDR Universe 2 on the Xbox 360.

It is hard to believe that DDR has been around for ten years. As a half-Asian, DDR is in my blood. I have spent countless amounts of dollars on dance mats and at arcades just so I can shake my ass in front of laughing strangers. From the bottom of my heart, I salute you Konami and DDR. Keep us dancing for ten more.

Monday, June 16, two more original Xbox titles get a second chance at life. The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning and Guilty Gear XX #Reload will be up on Xbox Live Marketplace under the Xbox Originals tab. Both titles will cost you 1200 Microsoft points ($14.99).

Guilty Gear XX #Reload is a 2D fighter, much like the Street Fighter Alpha series. The cool thing about Guilty Gear is that almost everything has to do with, or is a reference to heavy metal music. If you are a fan of 2d fighters or heavy metal it’s definitely worth picking up

The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning is your classic 3d platformer. A New Beginning marks the restart of the Spyro franchise and focuses more on action rather than puzzles and platforming.

Yesterday at UbiSoft’s conference, Ubidays, they announced that work has begun on Beyond Good & Evil 2. While far from completion, a teaser trailer was shown showcasing two retuning characters, Jade and Pey’j. Not much else was revealed.

For those of you who don’t know, Beyond Good & Evil was an action/adventure game released on GameCube, Xbox, PS2, and PC. Despite being released on all the major platforms of the day and receiving critical acclaim from numerous sources, Beyond Good & Evil wasn’t really successful. If any of you haven’t played it, do yourself a favor and pick it up off of Steam. Its only $10.

The teaser is after the jump. Continued…

Today Microsoft announced two new Xbox Originals that will be hitting Xbox Live Marketplace May 19. The two games are Stubbs the Zombie Rebel Without a Pulse and Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows.

Now I can’t speak for Gauntlet because I never played it, but Stubbs is a fantastic game. Anyone who has a sense of humor and a love for zombies wont be let down. I can’t recommend this game enough. You play as Stubbs, a newly undead zombie, who terrorizes a futuristic 1950’s city. As you eat more brains, you get more zombie powers, such as: poisonous farts, a detachable hand that is capable of possessing people, and the ability to bowl down enemies with your head. All in all, Stubbs is a great game worth your time and money.

Both Stubbs and Gauntlet will cost you the standard 1200 Microsoft points ($15). Not a bad deal considering Stubbs is a classic that new gamers should not miss out on.

Gamerscore cheats

You won’t be surprised to learn that Microsoft is coming down hard on gamers who cheated to get a higher Gamerscore. Alleged cheaters will have their Gamerscore set to zero, and will lose the ability to earn previously gained achievements.

But according to Major Nelson, there’s more. Now your Gamercard will brand you as a cheater in front of the entire XBL community.

I suppose that’s better than losing your account — or is it? I assume a lot of people will create new accounts rather than wear the Scarlett Letter. Other cheaters will probably wear it as a badge of honor.

Here’s what it looks like.

There are so many stories about games being re-released via Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network that I have decided to condense them all into one news story–for the time being, that is.
Joining the ranks of Xbox Original, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey will be hitting Xbox Live Marketplace Monday, March 24. If you are a fan of adventure games, you might want to look into picking this up. However it will cost you 1,200 Microsoft points ($15).

On the PlayStation side of this news item, both Pandemonium and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain have been rated by the ESRB and will be hitting the PSN shortly. For those of you who don’t know, Pandemoniumis a 2.5-dimensional platformer.

Blood Omen on, the other hand, is a top-down action adventure game. It is the first in the fantastic Legacy of Kain series. For anyone who hasn’t played it, I can’t recommend it enough. Unfortunately there have been no announcements as to when these game will be arriving on the PSN or how much they will cost.
