If you guys have been keeping your ears to the street, one of the most rampant rumors running around is that Dead Rising is coming to the Wii. Today, Capcom made those rumors true. Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop promises to be a more casual take on the original Dead Rising. In order to do this, Capcom had to make some of the major changes, including removal of the time system. Missions will be given in a linear order. When they are completed, the next one starts. No more checking your watch every five minutes to make sure you can get the good ending.

Today EA announced a release date for Dead Space. Predictably, Dead Space will be arriving Oct. 31, Halloween. This apples only to the PS3 and Xbox 360 version; there has been no word on a release date for the PC.

Personally I can’t wait for this game. I have always had a thing for survival-horror games, however the classic zombies and mansions are getting kind of old. Hopefully space is just what the genre needed. Until Halloween, I guess I’ll just have to follow the comics to tide me over.

Left 4 Dead shambles on to PS3?
Gamers across the nation are eagerly anticipating Turtle Rock Studio’s co-op zombie shooter Left 4 Dead. Word on the street is that in addition to being on PC and Xbox 360, the game will be coming out on PlayStation 3.

As usual, feel free to drop a comment on which rumors you think are true…now adjourn your asses.

I believe that there are generally two types of people: those who love zombies and those who are indifferent on the topic.

Personally, I fall into the “love ‘em” camp. Well, the newly aquired Turtle Rock Studio’s co-op FPS Left 4 Dead looks like it we satisfy me and my ilk. Unfortunatly for us zombie lovers, Left 4 Dead has had its release date pushed back from Q1 2008 to late summer for both the PC and Xbox 360.

I have been anticipating this game for years. Now that I haven an extra two quaters to wait, I guess I’ll have to dig up my copy of Zombies Ate My Neighbors to tide me over.
